As women entrepreneurs, we are often asked to make a quiet trade-off. Grow the business or be present with our families. Build momentum or slow down to care. Show ambition or protect balance.

Over time, those choices come at a cost. Not because we lack capability, but because most professional environments were not designed with our full lives in mind.

This is exactly why I’m proud to announce a new collaboration between Empowera Consulting and Lift Women.

Together, we are building a different kind of professional experience.

Across Serbia and the wider Balkan region, women founders operate in fragmented ecosystems. Networking opportunities are often:

• short-term and transactional, 
• concentrated in capital cities, 
• disconnected from real-life responsibilities.

Many women rely on self-learning and informal advice. Structured mentorship, financial literacy, and growth readiness are either inaccessible or unaffordable. Add family responsibilities to the equation, and participation drops even further.
The issue isn’t ambition. It’s infrastructure.

A Different Model: The Family Getaway

The Family Getaway is not a vacation. It is a structured networking and empowerment program designed for women entrepreneurs who want to grow without stepping away from their families.

We are planning a dedicated weekend in nature that brings together:

• intentional networking,
• focused business education,
• team building,
• and shared family time.

Instead of asking women to choose, we are designing a format that allows professional development and family life to coexist.

What Will We Work On Together?

During the programme dedicated to women entrepreneurs, we will focus on practical, applicable topics, including:

• financial literacy and decision-making
• communication strategy and positioning
• relevant, usable insights into search engine optimisation for business growth.

This is not theory for theory’s sake. The goal is clarity, confidence, and readiness for the next stage of growth.
At the same time, families are included in the experience, creating space for connection rather than compromise.

The platform "Lift Women" supports funding for Empowera Consulting, the company behind this initiative, not just a single event. Through a crowdfunding campaign, we are building the foundation for a sustainable networking and mentorship model that can grow beyond one weekend.
